PREDMET ISTRAŽIVANJA:

Predmet istraživanja ovog projekta je izučavanje i utvrđivanje mesta i uloge alumosilikatnih mineralnih sirovina i otpadne biomase u proizvodnji bezbedne hrane. Alumosilikatne prirodne mineralne sirovine, zahvalјujući svojim fizičko-hemijskim karakteristikama (zeolit, bentonit, apatit, diatomit i dr.) u datim uslovima, u prirodnom ili modifikovanom obliku, mogu biti dobri adsorbenti toksičnih metala,radionuklida amonijaka, toksina, organskih zagađivača. Sa druge strane otpadna biomasa iz slatkih voda (Myriophillum spicatum) i nusproizvodi prehrambene industrije (koštice voća) pod određenim uslovima mogu da imaju slične funkcionalne osobine kao alumosilikatne sirovine. Alumosilikatne materijali i otpadna biomasa, pojedinačno i u sinergiji, omogućavaju njihovu primenu kao korektori hemijskih, fizičkih i mehaničkih osobina zemlјišta, donori makro i mikroelemenata, modulatori hranlјivih podloga, nosači biološki aktivnih materija, pesticida, reakcioni filtri, filtracioni i reološki aditivi, doprinose ograničavanju uticaja supresivnih faktora koji onemogućuje ostvarenje proizvodnih i reproduktivnih potencijala bilјaka i životinja, koji pritom ugrožavaju njihovo zdravlјa i kvalitet proizvoda. Procesom modifikacije i tehnološkim tretmanom razvijaće se novi proizvodi, cilјnih karakteristika, remedijenti i adsorbenti – biosorbenti toksičnih metala i radionuklida prisutnih u zemlјištima, vodama, dodacima stočnoj hrani, sa cilјem sprečavanja njihovih negativnih uticaja na fiziološke procese bilјaka i životinja i ugrožavanja bezbednosti hrane.

SADŽAJ:

Sadržaj istraživanja obuhvata pet osnovnih tematskih oblasti koje obuhvataju veći broj aktivnosti u zavisnosti od problematike koju obrađuju. Osnovne tematske oblasti (teme) projekta odnose se na:

1.Razvoj tehnologije i sredstava na bazi domaćih alumosilikatnih mineralnih sirovina i fitoakumulatora za sanaciju i remedijaciju zemlјišta kontaminiranih radionuklidima i toksičnim metalima (Pb, Cd, Zn, U).
2. Razvoj biosorbenata na bazi otpadne biomase i mineralnih sirovina, pojedinačno i u smeši
3. Optimizacija i verifikacija parametara procesa dobijanja mineralnog đubriva na bazi prirodnih fosfata i modifikovanog zeolita
4. Razvoj proizvoda za preveniranje uzajamno povezanih poremećaja zdravlјa goveda i životne sredine sa nastalim klimatskim promenama
5. Razvoj proizvoda na bazi prirodnih mineralnih sirovina u cilјu zaštite životinja od radioaktivne kontaminacije

U okviru sajta http://konverzijabiomase.com, izdvojeni su projektni rezultati istraživanja iz konverzije otpadne biomase kao nove oblasti istraživanja u ITNMSu sa visokom izvrsnošću (Sl.1.) U oblasti hidrotermalne konverzije biomase istraživanja su pionirska na nacionalnom nivou. Korešćene biomase za istraživanja prikazane su na Sl.2. Iz oblasti konverzije biomase proisteklo je pet doktorskih disertacija i jedna iz primene biljaka u fitoremedijaciji kontaminiranih zemljišta teškim metalima.

kroz istoriju instituta

   Institut za tehnologiju nuklearnih i drugih mineralnih sirovina, ITNMS, Beograd, osnovan je 1948 godine. Svoju celokupnu aktivnost ITNMS realizuje u okviru naučnoistraživačke delatnosti u domenu osnovnih, razvojnih, inovacionih i primenjenih istraživanja, zasnovanom na transferu znanju kao glavnom činiocu i pokretaču privrednog i ukupnog društveno ekonomskog razvoja. U svom dosašnjem radu posebna pažnja je posvećena razvoju novih materijala definisanih svojstava na bazi nemataličnih, metaličnih mineralnih sirovina i tehnogenih materijala. Jedan od pravaca istraživanja je posvećen zaštiti životne sredine i reciklaži sekundarnih sirovina različitog porekla uključujući i otpadnu biomasu.

   Procenjuje se da se u Srbiji godišnje generiše preko 3 miliona tona otpadne biomase, agro-industrijskog i urbanog porekla koji se uglavnom odlaže na otvorene deponije ili spaljuje, ugrožavajući tako životnu sredinu.

   Prema direktivi EU 1999/31/EC otpad sa vise od 3% organskog sadržaja ne sme se odlagati na otvorene deponije, već se mora adekvatno zbrinuti sobzirom da doprinosi emisiji gasova staklene baste a samim tim i klimatskim promenama.

   Kako otpadna biomasa u Srbiji predstavlja neiskorišćen obnovljivi resurs, tim mladih saradnika ITNMSa od 2011.god. otvorio je nov pravac istraživanja konverzije otpadne lignocelulozne biomase u agro-ekološke, ekonomski isplative proizvode I potencijalne obnovljive izvore energije.

Multidisciplinarna
istraživanja

Multidisciplinarna istraživanja su obuhvatila otpadnu biomasu prerađivačke industrije (komine grožđa, koštice voća,..) agrootpadni kukuruzni materijali dr.,) vodeni korov savskog jezera i njegovog komposta, (Myriophyllum spicatum), energetske biljke (miskantus), lišće paulovnije, kompost za uzgoj pečuraka...

Odabranim hemijskim, mehanohemijskim, termohemijskim I biološkim modifikacijama otpadne biomase, razvili smo nove generacije ekološko bezbednih proizvoda, kao što su :
• Biosorbenti teških metala i drugih polutanata iz kontaminiranih medijuma, visokog bisorpcionog kapaciteta u odnosu na konvencionelne, skupe materijale. Imobilizacijom biosorbenata umrežavanjem sa polimernim matriksom u granule doprinelo se unapređenju karakteristika, pogodnih za primenu u realnim sistemima.
• Termohemijskom konverzijom, dobijeni su ugljenični materijali - hidročadji otpadne biomase, visokog energetskog i širokog funkcionalnog agro-ekološkog potencijala
U toku je verifikacija hidročađi na povećanje plodnosti zemljišta kroz vegetacione oglede. Takodje se radi na dizajniranju bioreaktora za HTC u komercijalne svrhe, namenjen svim generatorima otpadne biomase
• Trenutno se se radi na optimizaciji maksimalnog iskorišćenja energetskog potencijala otpadne lignocelulozne biomase, različitim modifikacijama, radi njenog korišćenja kao obnovljivog goriva.

Koliko je ovo atraktivna oblas govori činjenica da je od 2014.god, u ovoj oblasti doktoriralo pet mladih istrazivaca iz ITNMSa, sa indikatorima visoke izvrsnosi I relevantnim pokazateljima za dalji privredni razvoj.

Rezultati istraživanja doprinose održivom upravlјanju otpadne obnovljive biomase, u ekološki bezbedne i ekonomski isplative materijale u funkciji cirkularne ekonomije.

Istraživanj u oblasti konverzije otpadne biomase realizuju se trenutno kroz dva projekta :

KONVERZIJA
OTPADNE BIOMASE

Osnovni cilj projekta je uvođenje nove tehnologije hidrotermalne karbonizacije , sa niskim uticajem na životnu sredinu i ekonomičnija proizvodnja čvrstih goriva iz obnovljivih izvora, uz istovremenu valorizaciju vlažne otpadne lignocelulozne biomase. Dodatni cilj projekta je jačanje naučne izvrsnosti u ovoj oblasti i disiminacija postignutih rezultata ključnim akterima u industriji i privredi, generatorima otpadne biomase. Merljivi rezultati će omogućiti procenu potencijala za primenu različite otpadne biomase (komina grožđa, oklasak kukuruza, konjski stajnjak, miskantus, paulovnija i dr.) i optimizaciju HTC procesa, određivanjem najvažnijih gorivnih karakteristuka dobijenih proizvoda - hidročađi. Naučni uticaj ovog projekta imaće dugoročan efekat na transformaciju srpske i regionalne industrije i privrede prema otpadnoj biomasi iz poljoprivredne proizvodnje, kao dobre osnove za razvoj regionalne bioekonomije.
Potencijalne prednosti primene hidrotermalne karbonizacije u Srbiji su brojne, naročito u industrijama zasnovanim na poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, stočarstvu i bioenergiji. To su pre svega poboljšanje tradicionalnih proizvodnih procesa uz uštedu energije ili hemikalija, razvoj održivih rešenja za smanjenje uticaja na životnu sredinu, projektovanje novih sistema za efikasniju transformaciju vlažnog otpada u energente, energiju i druge proizvode visoke upotrebne vrednosti. Implemetacijom HTC tehnologije uticalo bi se na dugoročno rešavanje problema otvorenih deponija, lokalnih odlagališta otpadne biomase, prve te vrste u Srbiji I regionu. Kroz ovaj projekat agro-sektor može dobiti potencijal ne samo da postane značajan igrač u oblasti proizvodnje biogoriva, već i da razvije i obezbedi novu tehnologiju biorefinerije na lokalnom i globalnom nivou, uz značajno smanjenje emisije ugljendioksida. Nov koncept biorefinerije primenom HTC bi proširio postojeće lance vrednosti što bi rezultiralo novim poslovnim prilikama u različitim oblastima. Povećanje udela biogoriva u energetskom sektoru je jedan od najvažnijih ciljeva i trenutne politike EU. Naučni rezultat ovog projekta će doprineti razvoju novog ekološki prihvatljivog procesa u industrijama prerade i proizvodnje lignoceluloza i poljoprivrednom sektoru, gde se od otpadnih sirovina generišu proizvodi sa dodatnom vrednošću.
Smanjenje količine uglјenika u atmosferi ulaganjem u istraživanja proizvodnje energenata i novih materijala iz obnovlјivih izvora, prioritet je najvećih svetskih bioekonomija. Iz tog razloga implementacija zelenih tehnologoija termohemijske konverzije otpadne biomase u proizvode nove upotrebne vrednosti, kao što je hidrotermalna karbonizacija (HTC), danas privlače veliku pažnju.
HTC predstavlјa postupak konverzije organskog materijala primenom umereno povišene temperature (180-260°C) i autogenog pritiska u zatvorenom reaktoru (autoklavu) u uglјenični materijal sličnih ili bolјih karakteristika od fosilnog uglјa nazvan hidročađ. Tokom ovog procesa najveći deo uglјenika iz bilјnog otpada (i do 80%) prevodi se u čvrst hidrofobni materijal sličan lignitu i/ili tresetu, visoke energetske gustine, pri čemu se ne oslobađaju uglјendioksid i metan u atmosferu. Prinos i karakteristike dobijenih proizvoda zavise od reakcionih uslova i od biomase koja se koristi kao sirovina. Pored hidročađi pri hidrotermalnoj konverziji generišu se određene količine procesne vode, bogate fenolnim komponentama i rastvorenim organskim fragmentima, kao i zanemarlјive količine gasa, Slika 1

Prednosti

Za razliku od drugih metoda termohemijske konverzije biomase kao što su piroliza, insineracija i gasifikacija, HTC omogućava korišćenje biomase sa visokim sadržajem vode. Ova važna karakteristika uklanja potrebu za intenzivnim i skupim predtretmanom sušenja i širi izbor potencijalnih biomasa za primenu (vlažna lignocelulozna biomasa, polјoprivredni ostaci, komunalni otpad, kanalizacioni mulј, akvatične bilјke i dr.). Osim toga dobijena hidročađ je jednostavna za rukovanje, i proizvod je sa dobrim svojstvima odvodnjavanja, a kada se osuši, ima visoku energetsku vrednost i gustinu. Na ovaj način prevazilaze se osnovni nedostaci primene sirove biomase kao energenta kao što su niska eneretska gustina, visok sadržaj vlage, visoki transportni troškovi i problemi skladištenja i rukovanja. Pored toga, zbog svojih interesantnih strukturnih karakteristika hidročađ osim kao energent ima širok spektar drugih ekoloških, elektrohemijskih i katalitičkih primena (biosorbent, remedijator i kondicioner zemlјišta, nosači katalizatora i dr.).
U Srbiji je primena HTC tehnologije u samom začetku, a naš Institut za tehnologiju nuklearnih i drugih mineralnih sirovina (ITNMS) je pionir istraživanja u ovoj oblasti kod nas. Poslednjih godina tim istraživača ITNMS sa spolјnim saradnicima, intenzivno se bavio optimizacijom HTC procesa i detalјnim ispitivanjem proizvoda hidrotermalne konverzije polјopriverenih ostataka (komine grožđa) i industrijske bilјake miskantus. Poseban akcenat je stavlјen na praktičnu primenu dobijenih hidročađi kao biosorbenta teških metala iz vodenih rastvora.

U okviru ovog predloga projekta planiraju se istraživanja u oblasti HTC koja se odnosi na ispitivanje i implementaciju ovog procesa u cilјu proizvodnje peleta hidročađi, za primenu kao čvrstog biogoriva i njihovu komercijalizaciju. Ispitivaće se hidročađi dobijene u većem opsegu temperatura (180-260°C) i iz šireg dijapazona otpadnih biomasa (komina grožđa, šećerni rezanac, oklasak kukuruza, konjski stajnjak, miskantus i paulovnija). Dodatno, kroz posebne aktivnosti, dizajniranje veb-strane projektne ideje, planirana je intenzivna disiminacija stečenih znanja, dobijenih rezultata kao i upoznavanje šire javnosti, industrije i zainteresovanih privrednih subjekata sa značajem primene HTC i opravdanosti korišćenja peleta hidročađi kao energenta.
